Notting hill wedding photography
ceremony
Daphine and Jahdiel’s west London wedding was SO much fun and, on an entirely superficial level, fantastically glamorous (grooms in white tuxedos with gold accents = YES). Plus, there was more dancing than any other wedding we’ve ever shot, starting with the groom making his way down the aisle. We started the day on Cromwell Road, enjoyed the wedding ceremony at Kensington Temple in Notting Hill, then detoured via Kensington Gardens for pictures before partying at Porchester Hall in Bayswater.
There were many highlights — soul train line to the cake cutting, anyone? — but an honourable mention goes to the moment when we were shooting with the bride and groom and all fourteen bridesmaids and best men at the Italian Gardens… and the police pulled up and asked, “So, is this for a wedding?” Nah mate, they dress like this all the time. (We did have a permit, of course.)
PS: This particular wedding was also a tiny bit extra special because it was the last one before we had Petra (she was kicking lots). People were even lovelier to us than usual. It’s fun to be a pregnant wedding photographer.
