kensington and Chelsea wedding photography

It’d been years and years since we shot at Chelsea Old Town Hall (it rained then, too) and it’s always a delight to be back in the excellently named Royal Borough of Kensington. Lorna and Matt’s wedding day was fabulously laid-back from start to finish, from the bride ironing her bridesmaids’ dresses in her room at The Ampersand to the groom showing off his Nintendo prowess at Dirty Bones Kensington. (And it didn’t hurt that – as with Vivian + Alistair’s wedding reception at Dirty Bones Shoreditch – they served us the most ridiculously brilliant feast for dinner.)

The champagne-soaked double-decker bus ride was a steamy-windowed pleasure, the reception venue’s neon extravagance made everyone whip their phones out for the ‘gram, and the cocktails were expertly mixed (I’m told – the one downside to being a pregnant wedding photographer is that I go to lots of first-class parties but can’t sample the bar’s wares at the end of the night).
