London microwedding photography

M + Y's North London elopement had only four guests — it's always extra special to be one of such a tiny group invited to witness a marriage. The Old Marylebone Town Hall's Soho Room makes a great venue for a very intimate ceremony like this one: it's simultaneously cosy (a plush sofa!) and elegant (fireplace! Wood panelling!) and the floor-to-ceiling windows are the perfect place for nervous brides or grooms to watch the traffic while awaiting the arrival of their soon-to-be spouse.

They got ready together but separately, in two halves of their suite at the Landmark, just down the road, then hopped in black cabs to escape the rain (it wouldn't be a/ winter wedding in London if it weren't raining for at least some of the day). And then after the ceremony, they hailed another taxi and zipped off into the city to celebrate. If you're longing for a stress-free day, microweddings are the way to go.
