A dinner-party wedding in hackney

Alice and Evan brought their international crew home to Hackney and were, of course, impeccable hosts. Their guests were treated to some first-class food (dinner-party weddings are the way to go, cool kids!) picture-perfect city-wedding style, original music from Alice’s composer brother, and speeches so clever and funny and beautiful that even we cried.

After getting ready together, which genuinely is the best way to start your wedding day, Alice and Evan strolled through the park; onlookers marvelled over Alice’s super-chic Cortana gown, customised with hidden embroidery by her mum.

When we arrived at Hackney Town Hall, Alice’s brother was assembling his friends and their instruments, ready to bring everyone to tears during the ceremony.

(At the end, he revealed the entire piece had been based on A and E chords, the newlywed’s initials).

And then we were off to the Water House Project, where Alice changed into her red suit by Hai and the feast rolled on as the sun went down.
