Holly & Charlotte at The Standard

a VERY FUN wedding at the standard london

Holly and Charlotte made their own cool-bride blueprint, and took us along for the ride. The two brides got married at Hackney Town Hall, walked their dogs through a cloud of confetti, took a pink Cadillac around town, strolled through the crowds at St Pancras International for a kiss under Tracey Emin’s pink neon “I want my time with you” sign, then rejoined their deeply fun crew awaiting them over the road at The Standard.

From then on, the brides took full advantage of the choose-your-own-nuptial-adventure possibilities of a wedding at the Standard London:

Rooftop cocktails? Obviously.

A truly delicious dinner at Decimo? Of course (it all tasted as good as Decimo looks, and Decimo looks really, really good).

A ride or two in the pill-shaped lift, the exact same shade of red as the iconic Routemaster bus that transported the guests to the reception, to the delight of this Brutalism-loving photographer? Absolutely. (Yes, I will sprint across Euston Road and back to photograph you from a distance if your venue’s architecture is as glorious as The Standard’s).

Feeding each other Champagne in the bathtub in your expansive hotel suite? There’s no better way to start married life.

A neon-lit, wild-dancing after party to end all after parties? LET’S GO.

As Charlotte’s tattoo says: “OH WOW”. Thank you so, so much for having us, Holly and Charlotte and all your beautiful friends.
