elevated private home wedding

Any

questions?

Below are a few things you might be wondering. And for anything else, get in touch.
We’re secret agents/rock starts/exiled royalty. Can we stay anonymous?

Of course. Lots of couples we’ve collaborated with have been keen to stay unGoogleable, which is why you won’t find their names on the site. NDAs are no problem, either.

We’re gay; will you shoot our wedding?

Yes please, we’d love to.

What’s your creative fee?

Every wedding is unique; tell us about your plans and we’ll design a tailored proposal that fits you perfectly.

Do we need two photographers, or just one? Or more?

That depends on the size of your wedding, the coverage you’re after, the turnaround you need, etc. Once we’ve chatted with you or your planner, we’ll put together the team you need, starting with the two of us.

Rachel thinks Christopher is the better photographer. Christopher thinks Rachel is the better photographer. (Christopher is better at shooting over high walls. Rachel is better at helping you get your veil unhooked when it’s snagged on your bra.)

Multicultural wedding at Mandarin Oriental Hyde Park

We’re eloping in Svalbard/Bhutan/the Sandwich Islands: can you come?

Yes please. We have a bunch of passports and our Airtags live permanently in our suitcases. (Rachel’s background as a travel editor comes in handy for adding postcard-worthy landscape shots to your wedding album, too.)

We’re only having a tiny wedding…

We still love a chic city civil ceremony! If you’re planning a London elopement, we offer short coverage on select dates. Get in touch to check our civil ceremony and microwedding availability.

CAN YOU MAKE US A WEDDING ALBUM?

Yes please. Ours are handmade with archival-quality paper and will last forever. And some beautiful folios, handy thank-you cards, and fine-art prints, too… Let us know what you’d like, and we’ll make it for you. (Confession: We haven’t actually made our own wedding album yet. Don’t be like us.)

WHAT HAPPENS IF YOUR CAMERA BREAKS?

We’ll just get one of the others out and merrily carry on. You’ll never know anything happened.

HOW MUCH POSING DO WE HAVE TO DO?

Little to none. Meet your new favourite LA / Brighton / London documentary wedding photographer team: we’re very good at making portraits very easy. You can read more about our laid-back approach to shooting weddings here.

MY MOTHER WANTS A POSED GROUP SHOT BUT I’M NOT REALLY INTO THAT SORT OF THING…

One she’ll send all your great aunts framed copies of for Christmas? Amazing. We love those – here are a few of our favourite wedding family group shots.

Can we print our pictures?

Of course. If you love your friendly neighbourhood printing place, please do support them. We’ll give you all your files full size, fully edited and ready to print wherever you like. (Or we can make you prints at our favourite labs in the UK and California, too.)

WHY WILL YOU BE HANDY TO HAVE AROUND ON OUR WEDDING DAY?

If you’re torn between two wedding photographers, ask yourself how good they’d in a nuptial crisis. Things we’ve pulled out of our camera bags for newlyweds in distress: deodorant, blister plasters, a phone charger, water, mints, perfume (Baccarat Rouge 540), hair slides, safety pins, a mirror, ibuprofen (because by the time the cake’s been cut, there are no such things as comfortable shoes). Rachel also once zipped a groom’s sister into her ambitiously tight dress in the ladies’ room mere minutes before the ceremony with zero ripping or nipping.

WHERE ARE YOU BASED?

Los Angeles and London. Christopher grew up in LA, Rachel grew up just outside London – then we both lived in each other’s hometowns for years and years and racked up our frequent-flyer miles hopping back and forth. Now we divide our time between our two HQs, and Rachel has a weird in-between accent. (Chris still sounds convincingly Californian.)

WHERE DID YOU GET MARRIED?

We were wed at the Eagle Rock Center for the Arts in Los Angeles, a 1914 Carnegie Library building in Mission Revival style where we used to shoot bands. It was magnificent. And then we honeymooned in Morocco: Essaouira, Marrakech and the Atlas Mountains – if you’re going, please do ask us for tips. We still can’t stop talking about it.
